Look what's coming soon:
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Ultimate Edition (Warner Bros.)
The somewhat polarizing superhero clash-up arrives July 19, 2106 in both 2D and 3D with 30 additional minutes of new footage not seen in theaters. I'm a Marvel guy with movies and a DC-Marvel guy with TV shows, but I am anxious to finally get to form my own opinion after hearing so many friends and colleagues debate the merits and flaws of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Clown (Anchor Bay Entertainment)
This one has been a long time-coming. Produced by Eli Roth and written and directed by Jon Watts, who is currently working on Marvel's Spider Man: Homecoming, this horror fable about a man who dons a clown costume for his son's birthday party and finds the suit slowly attaching to his own skin, will be available June 17, 2016 on most Video-On-Demand platforms.
The Adderall Diaries (Lionsgate)
The true-crime memoir starring James Franco and Amber Heard arrives July 5, 2015.
Everybody Wants Some!! (Paramount)
Richard Linklater's spiritual follow-up to "Dazed and Confused" arrives on July 12, 2016. Will the catchphrases rival his former cult classic? You will have to check it out and see.
Hardcore Henry (Universal)
The first-person point-of-view action thriller, billed by some as the future of action movies, arrives July 26, 2016. Motion sickness bag, not included.
Electra Woman & Dyna Girl (Sony)
Man, oh man, when I was growing up, Sid & Marty Krofft's female superhero duo represented the beginning of my realization that tightly-clad, powerful women kicking butt was the best thing ever. I have no idea what to make of this new iteration. It stars Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart (who I love on "My Drunk Kitchen"). Will it be a straight comedy or an action-comedy or a complete goof? We'll find out when it debuts digitally on June 7, 2016 and arrives July 5, 2016 on DVD. Here's hoping it's every bit the cult classic that the TV show was and worthy of inspiring a new generation.
