First Look at Doctor Strange: Marvel Studios and IMAX Offer Free 15-Minute Sneak Peek

The Doctor is coming.

Not Doctor Who or Dr. Dre, but Doctor Strange, the sorcerer supreme, the master of the mystic arts.

In advance of the release of Marvel Studios' latest superhero film on November 4, 2016, Marvel and IMAX are teaming up to provide fans with a special 15-minute 'sneak peek' of exclusive footage on October 10, 2016 at 7 p.m.

This marks the second time that Marvel has offered fans an early look. The first time came with "Guardians of the Galaxy" in 2014.

This IMAX 3D event is free and will be held locally at AMC The Regency 20 at Regency Square, 2496 W Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.

Fans also will receive a special, limited-edition collectible "Doctor Strange" IMAX poster (pictured).

For the uninitiated, Dr. Stephen Strange, a renowned neurosurgeon, loses the ability to use his hands following a traumatic car accident. To heal his body and soul, he ventures to a faraway place, Kamar-Taj, where he learns about the existence of magic and the dark forces threatening to disrupt reality as we know it.

"Doctor Strange" is a longtime fan-favorite of Marvel's comic roster, who first debuted in 1963. This is the good doctor's first introduction to the growing MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).

The film, directed by Scott Derrickson ("Sinister," "The Exorcism of Emily Rose"), stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt and Scott Adkins, with Mads Mikkelsen and Tilda Swinton.
